Network-wide seminar Extra

The first day of the seminar will be focused on lectures on and discussions of the more general, theoretical aspects of the ITN project, namely "western civilization", "human dignity" and "freedom". Moreover, it will include a further introduction on reception and network theories as well as a presentation of how such theories can be applied in practice. This will lead up to the main content of the second day, namely an ESR workshop during which all seminar participants (including supervisors) are divided into groups. The ESRs each present to the group the status of their project with a focus on a) reception of Origen’s texts/ideas, and b) how the project’s theories and are included in their projects, what are the relevant texts, what are the problems; the group discusses and gives input (between 15 and 20 minutes each per topic + group feedback). We will also have a session on job market advice for PhD students.
