2.45 – 3.30 PMIntroduction to the history of scripts
3.30 – 4.30 PMVisit to the Historical Library of the Francke Foundations and guidance on consulting the Library collections
These sessions will be conducted in English.

  9.00 – 9.45 AMVisit to the Archive and guidance on consulting the Archive collections.
10.15 – 11.00 AMIntroductory palaeography exercises (17th /18th century)
These sessions will be held in English. From this point on until the end of the course, the program will offer parallel sessions on reading letters for German and English speaking attendants. 
11.15 – 12.00 AMThe worldwide correspondence of Halle’s Orphan House. The structure, layout and transmission of 18thcentury letters.
