New ITN Panel on Origen’s Platonism - call for abstracts

We are happy to announce that the International Society for Neoplatonic Studies has accepted the panel proposal of two ESRs, Giovanni Tortoriello and Andrea Bianchi. The ITN panel will take place at the 16th Annual Conference of the ISNS in Los Angeles, June 13-16, 2018. The organizers invite abstracts: deadline February 21.

All about Origen: New audios available from AAR 2017 (Boston)

As announced in an earlier post, the ITN team was granted the opportunity to host five AAR seminars focusing on Origen and the Roots of Human Freedom and Human Dignity in the West. You can now listen to three of the presentations from the AAR in Boston 2017 by ESRs Zocchi, Felter and Bunkenborg.

Sara Contini is a new PhD fellow in our ITN. Her project focuses on Origen and Bernard of Clairvaux, a work which she carries our at the University of Reading.

Research seminar on Origen's theology and philosophy

In February, Aarhus University will host a seminar on Origen's theology and philosophy. The seminar will present lectures from senior researchers as well as shorter presentations by PhD fellows and postdocs working on Origen.

Valeria Dessy is a new PhD fellow in the Marie Curie ITN “History of Human Freedom and Dignity in the Western Civilization”, located at the School of Culture and Society. Her project is entitled Origen and the modern Protestant tradition.

Seminar on Augustine's anthropology January 15-17, 2018

In January, Aarhus University will host a seminar on Augustine's anthropology with lectures by international scholars working with Augustine. The program includes a number of public lectures to which everybody is welcome.
