Freedom as Key Category in Origen and in Modern Theology

This theme will be a part of “The History of Human Freedom and Dignity in Western Civilization” workshop at Münster University 25-27 October 2018.

This workshop is part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Origen Research Center at Münster University. It will focus on the central topic of Origen’s Christian philosophy: his philosophy of freedom. Starting with the Alexandrian’s first concept of a Christian libertarianism, the workshop will deal with leading philosophers of the German enligthenment and end up with the role of freedom in contemporary theology. The workshop is part of the EU-funded project „The History of Human Freedom and Dignity in Western Civilization“ and will take place on Friday, 26 October, and Saturday, 27 October 2018.
